Community Judges Poem by Francis Duggan

Community Judges

There are community judges in every town
Who in their words does like to drag others down
Yet for their judgments they never receive money in pay
Suppose they cannot help it if they live their lives in this way
There are millions of their sort in Countries Worldwide
Who uphold this thing known as the social divide
People who in their thinking does seem rather small
Whose idea of a fair go does not include all
Of class division in their judgments they plant the seed
Of more of their sort the Human World is not in need
They pass their judgments on people every day
Who have never harmed them in any way
Suppose they cannot help the way that they are
And to meet one of their sort you do not have to walk far.
