I was lost and confused
Just getting out of something I knew was never going to happen
I was hurt and damaged
You didn't know this but
When you came along it was like a saving grace
You replied and you cared and before long
My heart took control
I didn't let it show I couldn't destroy yet another relationship
That hasn't even started
You took me by surprise when you asked,
Without hesitation I gave you my answer
Flash forward and I have never felt better.
You make me feel as if I am actually worth something
You filled that empty hole in my
You didn't push me you did things my pace
And though people laughed and criticized
You stood by me you never left
You held my hand and I felt every problem leave
You hugged me and all the cold in the world left
You kissed me and the sun blocked out all the darkness
You loved me and my life finally felt right
You didn't ask me to change but accepted
Who I was
You didn't hide me but spoke with pride
You never disrespected me
You loved me
And since that day my life has never been the same
