Completeness Poem by Akinbode Oluwaseun

Completeness

Something feels incomplete
Could my heart have wander into obscurity?
Why does it feel like something is incomplete
The completeness of the moon is a fact,
yet it doesn't appear so
All because it presented itself
A crescent moon at times
In the pupil of other's eyes,
My dreams are like pearls on the beach
Pearls expressing my need for love.

Even though the sun is complete
Its radiance deprives us the privilege
Of staring at its completeness
Did you ever think?
Have you ever pondered over it?
How can we have tears
And also at the same time smile?
How do we get a smile
Feel happy when we cry?
Shedding the tears of joy?
Your feelings can never be hidden
As long as ur heart is beating
From your eyes the tears will come
Making the cheek its passage
While unleashing moments of happiness or sorrow
The tears will surely come
When its hurt down there in your heart

My heart is full of pain
Of sorrow my heart cannot conceal
Behind my lovely smiles
And my melodious facial facade
Are untold sad stories
Memory of the past still lingers within
Clouding my thoughts
And eating away at my conscience
Chastising me like a lawbreaker
Having no means of defending myself
Only to stand before the heaven and sigh heavily

Out of the blue moon you've appeared
To console my troubled mind
Can I ever be whole?
A million dollar question I asked myself
My heart had been turn to shreds
Into tiny fragments it was torn
Yet I'm not splenetic

The blocked road has now become a path
All because of your warm embrace
My breath is now rich with life
Of vitality my body is filled
But just a look from you
Makes my life complete
The of wind is now a resounding fresh air
The sound of rain is now a melodious music
