Composing A Thought Poem by Mia_ACM 2217

Composing A Thought

Hold your quill and caress it against the parchment
As your thoughts run free like the ink on paper
Endless inspiration from nowhere in particular
A single word that gave rise to new knowledge
Wishful thinking that you can copy this down
For it is one of the unforgivable sin
Be ready for the war of words
A million words but its still not enough
Through fustration that might make you go mad
Imagine the ways a title could go
Of all the possibilities that comes to your mind
Hold on to them for they might be of use
Love is quite a tricky one
For you don't know how it might turn out
And tragedy could leave you in tears
Or a happy one to lighten up the mood
Pick anything that comes to your liking
World of secrets you can see in this paper
A confession that you don't have to hold in anymore
Or wait for death to bury your secrets
A moment in life you cherish forever
Recorded in paper for everyone to see
The last memory of you left behind in this world
You knew all along that life is quite short
So you wrote till your fingers are aching from the pain
But it was quite an impression on the world
Changes that have occured since you left us behind
You gave us advice that made us to change
Farewell dear poet
Now we shall never forget
The tradition of composing our memories
Till the end of life
