Confidence Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Confidence

Confidence

Eyes on phones or on road
confident they walk by
red is light for the cars
and green to go, walk

But still news says:
“X had died…”
“Ran over, was crushed…”

Commute is a must.
Should we have confidence in the lights?
Are they the only ones, just the lights?
Should we not use our eyes?
