Confused Poem by Edwina Reizer

Confused

I see buds on my Bradford pear trees.
It's too early for these tiny buds.
I'm afraid they just might freeze.

They were fooled into thinking winter is gone
for we had a few warm days.
I'm afraid they're just hanging on.

One day sunny, the next so cold
I wonder if they're strong enough
to place their buds on hold?

Confused they must be, just like me.
For I can't figure out what I need
a cold drink or some sweet hot tea?
