Confusion - Poem by Merlene Campbell

One day you kiss me as the love that touches my life.
The next day your words stab me like the edge of a knife.

Can we ever live together?
Would apart be much better?
Yet this is the time we whether.

We live together in strife.
With one kiss from you I am willing to give you my life.
