Devil's Lair Poem by Merlene Campbell

Devil's Lair

Rating: 5.0

Devil's Lair

I've been inside the Devil's Lair
The girls were dancing everywhere
And up on the stage I saw
A man beaten, tied and clawed
Here inside the devil's lair
The laughing people had a glare
A flash of red inside their eyes
Showed the devil deep inside
Then again I've seen the light
Of yellow eyes within the fight
Two by two these sides hide
An endless battle on each side
Here it has come to past the deepest battle will not last.
Watching from a stranger's eyes
Here I am I chose no side

All I can really think to say is... Wow. I love this poem. I'd like to give a better complement but I'm no good with words when they don't rhyme.
