Conquer - Poem by Michelle Constantino

I tried, I will and I’ll do… conquer this fear
that affects my studies this year

With all the intrigues coming my way, all I did, was cry
Cry… cry…

My friends had all the burdens thinking of what to do
to cheer me up

Seems like it’s no end… seems like it’s forever
I was down, there was no reason to stay happy

Until she came in my life, She showed me the best thing
the spirit of CONQUERING all the odds, showing them what you are

She told me not to be affected, close your ear to never cry
And made me feel normal to fight… and conquer

Slowly, I made steps… crucial steps to stop this fear
But I never realize, it wasn’t easy…

I told it to her again, she replied put it in your New Year’s Resolution
I will, and this time, I’m serious…

With the courage she has on me, and the people on my side
Nothing would be hard for me to conquer
