Conquered Flame Poem by Brenda Segura

Conquered Flame

I can't place an eight sided red face
I can't control the burgeoning pace
I had no warning
I believe I'm falling

You have conquered my flame
Why did you have to have such great aim
Every time I catch a sight all I do is feel
What i feel is you in my heart with it starting to seal

For me you are my curse
Wonder why I've not yet burst
You haunt my every thought
Wonder why I've not been caught

In every view
You come on cue
I will never forget our past
And neither will thy heart

We would share comments
Now for mere second only our eyes come across
Wish to return to that era
Just us two as in the Sahara

And for some reason unknown to me...
You are not able to be...
Superseded
