Considerate Poem by Don Adamos

Considerate

Rating: 5.0

You only get what you give
send and return
I was only ever payed back
in calculated form

designed so that any possible reason
for your wrongdoing, your treason
could be ironed out into yellow sheets
you think you pull over our eyes

You only give to get
the output of the in
So you're getting what you gave
let the music settle in

With each bite
soon after comes the sting
You'll never move
if you don't welcome it in
Do you know what this message brings?
Shockwaves disrupt the rhythm of your singing
You better pick up, the telephone is ringing
Is this what comes of a good upbringing?
considerate.
Consider it.

Your voice is ever so quiet now
Is this the sound of acceptance?
