Control Poem by April Humason

Control

In the midst of a world descending,
Feeling lost, with purpose unbending,
Goals once held, now take their toll,
As control slips, and takes its own role.

Searching deep within the soul's terrain,
On bended knees, seeking light to gain,
A plea to the heavens, 'Lord, guide my way,
Illuminate the path, let your wisdom sway.'

Show me the direction, the path to tread,
Lead me out of darkness, my fears to shed,
Embrace a new beginning, a fresh start,
In following you, I'll find my heart.

Your words, my compass, my guiding chart,
Hand over the reins, trusting your art,
With all control surrendered, you'll lead,
My soul secure, on this journey we'll proceed.
