Convenience Line 1 -12 Items Only Poem by Raymond Farrell

Convenience Line 1 -12 Items Only

Why waste your time
When you can go all the way
And waste everyone else's time as well
Was what I thought
But was too polite to say
To the old biddy
In front of me
Trying to figure out
How to use an app
Someone had installed
On her cell phone
But had neglected
To explain to her
How to use
Eventually
With the help of the cashier
She paid for her groceries
But not before
My thighs were in rigor
My calves were in mortis
And the old guy
Behind me
Clutching his box of cookies
Had fossilized.
