Conversation With A Star Poem by Arun Maji

And the star shouts
Why don't you go after your dream?
I say
It's so difficult, painful.

The star replies
Walk first, and then let me know.

Star is a star
All must listen to it.
So, I start walking towards my dream.

I stumble and break my leg
But I don't feel the pain.
Because I am so immersed in beauty of my dream.
Then I stumble again
And this time, I start bleeding.
But this time too
I don't feel the pain.
For my dream is so high and healing.

And then eventually, I reach my dream.
The star asks
How you feel now?
I say
Damn good.
And Guess what?
You are right.
Pain cannot touch me
When I walk towards my dream.
