For years, I wandered with the clouds.
She kept kissing my forehead.
I never needed gloves
to shield me from the summer heat.
I roamed without warning,
outwitting missiles and warplanes,
from planet to planet,
thanking those gods
who forged our bond with the clouds
and infused my soul with courage.
It was we who made our home
in the blue sky.
I am speaking, sir,
of those very clouds
that spill from our eyes
in love and in sorrow!
