Conversion is an essential practice
in Islam and Christianity
they are swallowing thousands of Hindus
in Bharat
from many centuries
in many ways
but Hindu never convert the people
from other religions
what is the reason for it?
because...
it's not the Hindu way of thinking
they do not believe in spreading faith
by inducting more followers
'Spread of the collective' has less meaning
in Hiduism
The emphasis of Hindu religion is
'the personal' or 'the private'
Hindu always access and address their faith
and do not rely on scriptural texts much
they trust in life experiences
loves to describe his relationship with the divine
and the spiritual part of life
but not with the totality
and it's the main reason
there is no place of conversion in Hinduism
till the recent past
only the exit door of this religion was open
not the entry door
now they opened it little
Arya Samaj opened it for 'Ghar Wapsi'
and ISKCON for recruiting members worldwide
truely speaking
proselytizing not required in Hinduism
if 'ghar wapsi' accelerates
entire Muslims and Christians of the Indian subcontinent
will come back again in Hinduism.
