Standard Poem by Asit Kumar Sanyal

Standard

Rating: 5.0

Know the standard of a family
From their washroom
notice the underwear of a man
you want to know whom
if you want to judge a woman
look at her heels
get theorists class and standard first
before finalising your deal.

Truly, manners show the standard

Very astute observation, Asit! Here in the U.S. the standard is more about her heart, compassion, kindness, etiquette and morals. I had never heard this before about heels, I am curious as to how that came about in your country. Thank you for sharing. RoseAn

It gives me great pleasure to read about something which I had heard a couple of decades back. Such beliefs form the collective consciousness of our society. The closing lines of the poem add to my knowledge about women around us. Thanks.
