Converting Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Converting

Converting

Converting past to now
Is somehow…?

To do so I sit down!

Black is the sofa
Screen and windows, and front

Yes, they all
Bring back to front…

Convert tapes and cassettes
Making them digital.

Tricky and smart
They use land and skies
For sake of advertise

Suzuki, defending the nature
And Hadfield, astronaut.

Screen shows samples of their job
Children from birth to birthdays
And first walks
To woman of eighty, candle lights.

And I watch
See people coming in, departing
To take out and hand in
Cartridge and old films
Taken on the SD and Hard Disks.
