Cooking Up A Friendship! Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Cooking Up A Friendship!

How can I show my love for friends?
I’ll cook up something grand and then,
I’ll add some sugar right from my heart,
To sweeten it so it’s not to tart.

Whenever you come, just walk right in.
I’ll be in the kitchen most probably then.
I will be stirring, and pouring batter,
With love inside for you all do matter.

I’ll top it off with a friendship cake.
We’ll have it after I shake and bake.
To see what’s cooking, come right on by.
For you are the apple’s of my eye.

A friend will stay closer than a brother.
As my best friend’s, I’ll have none other.
I hope you know what I say is true.
I’ll always be cooking something up for you!
