Cotton Candy And Ice-Cream Cones Poem by Anashree Nash

Cotton Candy And Ice-Cream Cones

Rating: 4.5

Cotton candy and ice-cream cones;
The memories begin to flow,
Happiest moments from my childhood;
Leaves me with a glow.

The music of the ice-cream van;
Got us up on our feet,
Until we held those ice-cream cones,
The sweetest sweetest treat.

Each day an adventure;
The great explorers we were called,
The giggles and the laughter of my friends and I;
Bounced upon the walls.

Those times when every mother,
Took responsibility for us all,
Left in the care of a mothers touch;
To nurse us should we fall.

I cherish those little moments;
Baking cupcakes with my mum;
Picnics set up in our front yard;
Evenings watching tv together was fun.

It was that time in my life;
The time I was care free,
When opinions or thoughts of me never mattered,
I was just happy being me.

Cotton candy and ice-cream cones;
The memories begin to flow,
Happiest moments from my childhood;
Leaves me with a glow.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My childhood was that of adventure and laughter, I'm sure many can relate to this special sweet moment in their life as many kids of the new generation may never experience the joys of their childhood as we did.
