Could It Be Even Now Not At All Poem by James McLain

Could it be even now not at all?
All that once was and all that that there is,
The sound we all heard seemed to come
From above not from the earth deep beneath.

And the smartest are here paying the cost
Some disappear because of the knowledge and
Books you have read, spreading the truth never lies.

And could it be deep in the dark from whence
They come having been freed left their mark.
