Couldn'T Believe It - Poem by Jayson Howard

Couldn’t believe it,
the words you said to me.
Kept a secret,
but now is has to be,
So very free, for you and me.
This spring air,
is weighing me down.
I know you,
can’t hang around,
every minute, every second, well that’s okay,
as long as you don’t let me down.

I have to say,
more than once today,
how much you mean to me,
and if you’re listening,
this one’s for you.
And it’s a few simple words,
that many might have said before,
but I thought, if it came from me,
I thought it might mean a little more.

I, love, you. And it’s so, very, true.

You lift me up,
with your words
You keep me flying,
up with them birds.
And you keep speaking,
such crazy dreams,
but that’s fine with me.

As long as I get to say,
more than once today,
how much you mean to me,
and if you’re listening,
this one’s for you.
And it’s a few simple words,
that many might have said before,
but I thought, if it came from me,
I thought it might mean a little more.

I, love, you. And it’s so, very, true.
I do, I do, I do, I do.
So say, you love, me, too.
