Counting Sheep Poem by Edwina Reizer

Counting Sheep

I shall not count the sheep by night
I shall not see them leap
The countless hours I do not sleep
mean nothing to the sheep

Someone else shall count them
Perhaps it will be you
I would like to think that so
Then I'd know you too

are losing sleep like me
and have me on your mind
And as the night turns into day
you'll leave the sheep behind
