Please don't come back to my country
Dont roll up in my backyard
You'll find life has shriveled up
And its softness has gone hard
Don't open the chest I've buried
Do not utter my lover's name
I live on a plane parallel to yours
Except my love has gone down its proper drain
And my lover is no longer mine
Never was, nor is nor will be
Love has reserved a seat at your table
Where there will never be room for me
And so you have returned to my country
My borders now wild and untamed
I would send you away if I could at all
But another rules over these plains
