Country Maiden Poem by Lamar Cole

Country Maiden

Goodbye Manhattan, he was going back to the country where he could breathe some fresh air.
Back to the good times with no worries or care.
Back to where the sun always shined brighter.
And his troubles felt lighter.
Back to where he was loved by family and friends.
Back to his sweet country maiden Brenda Lynn.
