Country Stroll Poem by Marilyn Lott

Country Stroll

Rating: 5.0

Do you ever go for a country stroll
On a clear warm summer day?
The simple life with barns and such
And the smell of fresh cut hay

Oh, listen to the birds above
Chirp their message soft and sweet
Cows stop as you stroll on by
They are so much fun to meet

Of course you love the windmills
Stopping and starting when
The wind decides to whip up
Then slows down like on a whim

So quiet and so peaceful it is
As you cross that grassy knoll
There is nothing quite as satisfying
As taking a country stroll!
