Couples Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Couples

Couples

I catch them as crows; steal soap
or when owl catches mouse.

Couples are stories
with romance
their ego
politics.

Sony Centre is a house; Performing Arts
took Rosie and husband, fund raising
for cancer; charity
both humble.

Sarah called from Charles, gave them ride
headed for an art house, Thomson Hall
a concert…or, what was?
“I love you, ” politics
she kissed him
I felt like she wanted end a fight
then man felt great gain
more power
so he nagged, nagged and nagged
order-like and command:
“I told you, didn't I? ”

Then Chinese
Their men seem, to be gods
Girls are wax in the hand, and polite.
