Courage Poem by Lesa MRK

Courage

Rating: 5.0

I saw you in the distance,
Your eyes locked with mine.
I knew I must embrace a new life,
And leave the old one far behind.

The strength of your gaze gave me courage,
To withstand every doubt,
And with your slightest smile,
My pride came pouring out.

In a crowd of many strangers,
You and I were the only two,
Who shared such deep emotion,
Experienced by very few.

Where you would lead - I would follow,
You are the man of my heart.
How deeply I cherish you,
Anticipating the moment when we will no longer be apart.

All the memories we held,
As moments yet to come,
And although once so few,
Have only just begun.

Very good read, thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the end rhyme it made the poem have some pattern's to it which makes it so nice to read. Keep up the good work.
