Covid 19 Poem by Ojok Isaac

Covid 19

It roams like wind
Strong like metal
COVID 19 is a soul sucking vampire
Not afraid of the crowd
It spreads like the clouds

Not afraid of the darkness of nights
Not afraid of the sunshine of Africa
Coronavirus is the enemy of human race
Killing the old and not sparing the young

Let me not be gnashed by COVID
And restrictions are made for my lungs
To beg the gift of oxygen
That the Lord give freely

Give me water and soap
That I wash my hands
Let me stay like an island
That if I'm a carrier
my love ones shall live healthy

And I shall stay home
Like a brooding chicken
Or like a new borned baby
I shall rest in my bed
