Covid Christmas Poem by Lawerence Mize, Sr.

Covid Christmas

Rating: 4.5

Santa's not coming
At Christmas this year,
The Democrats have told him
He has to stay clear.

Shelter in place.
Safe distance with a mask.
Do everything they say
Till Christmas is past.

Covid is rampant.
It's really everywhere.
Santa's got presents
And they really don't care.

No gifts for the kids.
No holiday cheer.
The Democrats are happy
They won't shed a tear.

No Dasher and Dancer,
Prancer o r Vixen,
No Comet or Cupid,
No Donner and Blitzen,
And especially not Rudolph.
It's all been written.

The time's are changing.
No need to be jolly.
No mistletoe and kisses.
No boughs of holly.

Just stay at home
Like any other day.
Don't let the Covid
Take you away.
