Cracks In The Lines Poem by David Thomas

Cracks In The Lines

This tree stands so tall
the leaves i hold now whither
all the other trees sprout buds,
here i stand the breeze
swiping away all that i hold dear
knowing better than i,
that a dead life is worse
than having no leaf.
