Crash, Bang, Oops, Sorry (Spring Of 2004) Poem by Lillian B. Rose

Crash, Bang, Oops, Sorry (Spring Of 2004)

Crash, bang, oops, sorry
Were you ever there
to see the rotted stairs
Leading to my prison

None reach me - Crash
There goes another stair
Do I have time to replace it
before you say Sorry.

In a whirlwind I grab a new board
Saw Dust fogs the room - my prison
I fit the new step and
Bring down the hammer - Bang, bang

What was that; Not Sorry - not yet
Wait - Bang - I rush to finish
Oops! A pain tears my finger
As I miss the nail

Don't say sorry; You're not sorry
You meant to leave, you always did
If it wasn't the stairs it would be
something else, and you would go

Empty words you hold
for you never cared
If you only live in sun
you will die in my rain

I sit in the ruins
with the thunderheads of anger
And tears of rain
As you say Sorry.
