The Blanket (2004) Poem by Lillian B. Rose

The Blanket (2004)

Rating: 5.0

Under a blanket of memories
Woven of the past and a daydream
Your voice, your touch remains hidden
Though centuries have come between

I wonder if my thoughts reach you
Scattered like breath on the air
The stillness of the last time I saw you
The words unable to bear light

The thoughts locked up inside of me
The Passions set aglow with a spark
Wildfire so fast and catching
Corralling us deep in my heart

A warm glow - my alarm and lullaby
And power to moments I dream
So real is the blanket before me
Reality takes a lack-luster scene

Under a blanket of memories past day dreams are covered. A warm glow is ringing the moment now. An amazing poem is brilliantly penned.10
