Craving Fish Poem by George Capron

Craving Fish

I craved a fish
And sought it
I went to the docks
And bought it
I searched all over
To find it

'Twas sweet in my mouth
As I ate it.
It was a mutton snapper,
I got from a fish trapper,
Whose daughter had caught it
It really didn't matter
She never grew any fatter.

Ah, I love to catch fish and love eating them even more. I've seen bumper stickers that say CATCH AND RELEASE but if I had one it would say HOOK 'EM AND COOK 'EM.
