Crazy Thinking Poem by Edwina Reizer

Crazy Thinking

You will not haunt me anymore.
I shall see to that.
I will walk the grassy fields where we once sat.
You will not taunt me anymore
for I will never be
hypnotized by smiles and eyes
that you gave to me.

Do you believe any of this?
Oh you foolish boy.
I just console myself with these words
like a child with a toy.
Do you think I have the ability
to make these things come true?
Then you are a fool just like me
for none of it can I do.
