Creation And Elimination Poem by Meghan

Creation And Elimination

years we spent trodding through the mud
nestling creation in our palms
stampeding through mountains
giving the golden celestial orb it's light and the trees their texture green
we are the pioneers, in which we never die
constantly forging on, bringing and giving life
never taking it, for we are not the reaper
who brings his terror slow and painful
like a broken heart never mended, trickling blood for centuries
slowly, so slowly fading, forever dimming
until the darkness covers the mass
whose heart once beat and whose lungs once breathed
