Crimson Regret Poem by Sara Hol

Crimson Regret

Rating: 5.0

Each dropp is my adolescence
pouring crimson regret,
Shallow tears succumb to the pits of my eyes
after each silent, smothered cry.

The porcelain of the tub is stained red,
I run the tap to begin cleaning up my mess
as bandages are put back into their place.

My heart burns with regret
as the roar of water drowns out my conscience,
My walls begin to crumble as each scar sets its place
upon my skin.

Crimson regret is taking over,
at the pits of my rage, lyes ignited embers.
