Crimson Tears Are The Tears.... - Poem by Ben mcelfresh

Crimson colored tears
These are the tears i cry for you.
Can you hear me
When i call out your name?

Or do you just hear a gentle breeze
Go right beside your ear?
Can you feel the pain
That i've kept hidden all these years?

Never letting it show
Keeping my strong appearance.
I'm strong on the surface
Not all the way through.

The pain of the memories
Shoots through my heart.
Like armor piercing
Rounds shot from a sniper.

Nothing hurts worse though
Than the pain of breaking down.
I try to show everyone
Just how strong i am.

I don't want them to think
I'm weak on the inside.
I have to be there for them
To keep their hopes alive.

I can't let them down
I WON'T let them down.
So tell me tonight
And bring me the comfort i seek.

Will you wipe away these crimson colored tears
With your gentle touch?
Can you hear me when i call out
And will you be there when i need you most?
