Crisis Delight (A Tribute To 2008 Global Crisis) Poem by Edgar Andrade Baguio

Crisis Delight (A Tribute To 2008 Global Crisis)

The land of the free is falling!
And other lands are following?
Yes, at last for all of us to know
Some wisdom behind this show
A smiling Hand is calmly watching
Hoping if we are still remembering
His infinite goodness and love
Now look like darker clouds above
Well, competitions are thinner
For now they sigh: ‘What’s dinner? ’
And more office cubes left barren
Uniting more parents and children

Thanks for this great crisis, Lord!
That recreates a real one world
More haughty necks are lower
Confined just to be a good sower
And fishers now really fish for men
While others still cheat their women
Oh, that we may learn to simplify
Our insatiable, short lives to qualify
Thy ever countless blessings bring
This only tune left for us to sing:
Together, ‘I am a Child of God’
A sure delight to our souls’ i-pod!
