Cruel Smiles Poem by James Harris

Cruel Smiles

My heart melts every time you give me a little smile
That drips with such venomous charm, sarcasm and wit
But such is the strength of such beauteous guile
Here your weapon of choice so does perfectly fit
That smile you wear is some marvelous dare
So clever and wry to invite me to duel
Your words are sharp and leave me to stare
They make me love you for being so cruel
To think that your mind can trigger such lust
It boils my blood, how your tongue is so glib
To ravage you here, leave your hair so mussed
On that poisonous tongue how sweet to nib
Entice me more with your sweet stinging mouth
Reward for you later is my own going South
