Look at the f**king stars tonight, they are so pretty
This is my current paradise, I'd rather live than die

Some call it hope, some call it fear
I don't wanna work then disappear
Working 9 to 5 in a suit and tie
Dotting every I and crossing every T
Scrub underneath your fingernails
Pinky up while drinking tea

I'd rather sit on a tree
Buzz with the bees
Be one with the breeze
I'd rather walk on the beach
Sand on my feet
These moments make me feel so damn complete
Then we'd look into the sky

I'm just a nomad in a mad mans world
Throw two sticks together wa-la fire annabel
I don't need much but enough to get me through
A pack of cigarettes, a guitar, and a girl

We would go outside
Find a clearing in the woods,
Lay on the grass and get stoned
Then we'd look into the sky

A few flower pedals away from a disaster
The iris is melting but we can run faster
I'm in love with the idea of being in love
Running short of the time which we have such little of

Behind the work and the sheep
Bedbugs in my sheets
Mango soda with a bendy straw
I try to get by with a song
A catchy chorus, sing along
To talk about my flaws
Then there would be a bridge and some other s**t
Probably a few la la la la la la's
