D. R. U. G (Don't Ruin Us, God Said) Poem by Rowland Howells Ibifiri Orumbie

D. R. U. G (Don't Ruin Us, God Said)

Rating: 4.6

Drugs hard and strong
Enough to lift my heavy spirit!
In The Same breath
Push my health
Down to it limit
Conquering the mind
With a brute force
Taking over every thought!
Assuming total control
Imprisoning the soul.
What did start
As a friendly fire on pain and boredom
Ongoing as an emotional genocide
On my heart
First I was reluctant
Now I can't resist
Taking blow after blow
With arms down and an open fist
I single handedly handed
My whole self this defeat
It got out of hand
I couldn't take a stand.
Weak against this quick hits
From all this hard drugs
Too soft to reject this loss
Watching as my life
Becomes Drugs chattel
Losing this fight
Failing to realize it's a battle

Drugs is the worst thing that has happened to human race. It could well be the cause of it's end too. " Losing this fight Failing to realize it's a battle"…
