Daddy Poem by Carrie Bennett

Daddy

Rating: 5.0

Daddy
Taught me right
From wrong, that
I could always
Come home
If need be
Taught me to
Fish and understand
Always wanting me
To
Take a stand
Never take a
Hit from a
Man's hand
Up and downs
We've had a
Few
Letting me know
I could always
Count on you
Seen me through
A marriage of
Hurt
Him, always making
Me feel like
Dirt
Never knowing my
Worth with him
Stood by me
Through divorce and
Jail
Always taught me
To fight like
Hell
For what I
Believed in
Daddy
Always just being
Daddy
