Daddy's Girl Poem by Fritzie Abella

Daddy's Girl

Rating: 4.8

I am a woman now of age.
The world's bigger outside my cage.
Now I am not a child who cries
over candies and apple pies.

I've outgrown Peter Pan and Twist,
pigtails and bouncy curls.
I am a woman now of age
in tailored suits and fancy heels.

Now the rules have changed a bit.
No more tantrums, no more tricks.
I am a woman now of age
and others expect me to behave.

But deep inside I'm still a child
longing for tea parties and delights!
Still enchanted by heroes and fables,
still in search for knights in shining armor.

I am a woman yet a child
who jitters and giggles in friendly chats.
My prince charming may be in waiting
but I'm still daddy's little girl,
bubbly and beaming!
