Daisy Fields Poem by Barry Kavanagh

Daisy Fields

Rating: 5.0

Oh daisy fields, oh daisy fields
Waltz through my hands
A summer’s breeze
Where buttercups call to bumblebees
Florets and flower seeds
Blow through a summer’s breeze
All across the daisy fields

Oh Daisy fields, oh daisy fields
Where the sun does shine on make believe
Where blackbirds sing a summers song
Of torrent rain, far gone
Sung through the daisy fields
Carried on a summers breeze
All across the daisy fields

Oh Daisy fields, oh daisy fields
Where the grass waves tall to passers by
Rainbows end and butterflies fly
Hugged by a summers breeze
All across the daisy fields

Oh Daisy fields, oh daisy fields
Waltz through my hands
A summer’s breeze
Where our dreams do grow on poplar
