Damaged People Poem by Dean Meredith

Damaged People

Rating: 5.0

Damaged people
In a damaged world
Victims seek vengeance
Understandably to some
Two wrongs making right
Perpetuating continual violence
Should we take sides?
Judge and condemn
Playing little gods
Payback is a bitch
Payback is a bastard
‘An eye for an eye
A tooth for a tooth'
Our brains all suffer
I will set fire to your causes
And expect your retaliation
Our nihilism a shared identity
Nice to have something in common
