Dance In The Evening Poem by Edwina Reizer

Dance In The Evening

I dance in the evening with wild abandon
when there is no one around.
I dance to the music I hear in my head
barefoot on the ground.

I dance in my dreams like a ballerina
and never miss a step.
I twist, I spin and leap in the air
and it feels so heavenly.

But when the evening is over
and I awaken from sleep at night
I plod through the day with heavy feet,
never with feet so light.
