Dance With Me Poem by Millie Fraser

Dance With Me

Lazy days slipping away,
Wish I could catch them but I'd hold them like water,
Letting them fall through the gaps,
Smiling as they crash around my body
And I splash through the debris.
Don't stand and watch, this world is not passive.
I'll grab your hands and entwine our fingers,
We'll dance through this broken beauty,
Through this street of rain,
Our clothes and hair drenched with the days we didn't catch,
The days we watched fall,
And the days that lie in glittering puddles.
Lets dance through them as they stream across our skin and make our eyes sting.
