Danger Lurks At Every Corner Poem by Teo Yang

Danger Lurks At Every Corner

Danger lurks at every corner,
someone said

And it was there at the first corner
I saw a tiger bouncing
on his tail asking to play
hopscotch

And it was there at the
second corner
I saw a toothless dragon as dark
as the night
smiling and licking my face
asking to play hide and seek

Then it was there at the
third corner
I saw a beautiful witch with eyes
as green as an apple
asking to take me for a ride
on her broom

And I accepted her request
hopped on her broom
wrapped my arms around her waist
while she flew us under a starry
night as I'm lost in a trance
smelling coconut
from her
hair.
