Dark Abyss.. Poem by DEEP DARK SOUL POET

Dark Abyss..

Rating: 0.5

Dark, dark night, the sad sorrow of my soul is such.
All warmth has sunken beneath the waters' icy cold touch.
Shivering, trembling, my lips turn blue in its throes.
I dream again of the brilliant, ever-fragrant, spirit Rose.

My hand in your hand, clinging for life like a chain.
Will the sun ever shine on me and warm my limbs again?
A wandering soul, I was, feeling lost and turned astray.
You captured me, gave me life. It was my happiest day.

Whispers to my soul like some mysterious magician's art.
Death came across the distance and stepped into my heart.
Making me feel as an angel, as though destined for the skies.
My universe was found; my galaxy opened my lips and eyes.

In your vice like grip it was a forsaken man which you caught.
To think back on it now brings the most rapturous thought.
Dark now are my thoughts, too deep to be effaced.
I close my eyes to dreams which can never be erased.

You feast on my flesh, so now as one, we are forever entwined,
Sealed eternally within the hidden chambers of my mind.
May my image live on, though the ship of dreams be wrecked.
I keep the last thought within my heart, amid the ruins of intellect.

Dark, dark night, the sad sorrow of my soul is such.
All warmth has sunken beneath the winters' cold touch.
My hand in your hand, clinging for life like a chain.
Will the sun ever shine on me and warm my limbs again?

And so like the blowing winds, the telling tune did fade
Quiet lasts forever where the young once played
And sadly reminiscing with a regretful smile, from ear to ear
The lights faded into the abyss, as I shed my last forgotten tear…
